Phone call with Robbie

I had the opportunity to talk to Robbie today on the phone and it was pretty incredible.

He was a little tired at the time but very clearly talked with me about a number of things like how he was feeling, the food he had, and if the therapists had been there. He does run into a bit of a hard time if you ask him anything that means really thinking about what he is trying say (versus more reflexive things like, "How are you feeling?" which will get you a response of "I am feeling better.").

It looks like Robbie will spend the weekend in the ICU because of his doppler reading today and the fact that they don't test again until Monday. However, once that is set it would appear he will only remain in the hospital for a short time before moving on to a rehab center in Charlotte for evaluation and hopefully a green light to rehab in the sunshine state.

Heidi and Niky will be coming on Sunday and Scott on Monday so to all his friends in Charlotte who want to see Robbie, feel free to reach out to my dad at srweiss@aol.com and he will work out a time for you to get in.
