Robbie Update 1/26 11P

Greetings from Presbyterian hospital...I just popped out to give you all a bit of an update on our man Robbie and how he is getting on tonight.

Robbie has started to move his right side a bit more including moving his right arm and legs (in addition to wiggling his toes earlier in the evening for my mom and I). I have taken to staying on his right so that we can get that side feeling the love.

Robbie started to whisper and if you get close enough to him you can hear what he is saying. At one point he was telling me to tell the nurse to speak slower. There is no distortion in his face or slurring in his words, and but for the fact that his throat is really sore (he nods very much to the affirmative to this when you ask him about it) and his voice was low, you can hear him quite clearly.

I can not tell you all how proud of him I really am. He knows that all of you are standing by his side and I have been sure to mention all of you who have reached out to check in. My mother has read him your cards and when I told him that Jason, Matthew, Ari and Ted came last weekend he was very happy.

It is clear that he doesn't want to be lying where he is. Robbie is fiesty and very anxious to show everyone that he is ok. You can tell that he doesn't want my mom to worry so much.

Perhaps the funniest story was when I told him about the pictures Judi has drawn of the three of us. When I asked him if he wanted to see them he shook his head no (obviously remembering Judi's skills) and when I told him she drew us as stick figures with she being the tallest he rolled his eyes in that ever familiar fashion that we all know so well.

Keep the vibes and messages coming he was actually interested in hearing what people wrote here and on Facebook so do please leave comments.

Lastly, Robbie was notified today that he was recognized as one of the Top 40 under 40 in Sports Management.

That's all for now...
